Accommodation
Practical, reliable accommodation for workers travelling to major projects.
On a major project, a large part of the workforce is not local. They need somewhere to stay that is near enough to site, reliable enough to depend on and sorted before they arrive. We source and coordinate that accommodation for workers, contractors and project teams.
Why clients use BSR Group for accommodation
Accommodation is part of getting people to site, so we plan it with the start dates, onboarding and travel rather than as a separate problem.
Planned with the mobilisation
Arrivals aligned to start dates and inductions, capacity planned around the ramp-up, and changes handled as the programme moves.
Sourced through partners near site
Landlords, providers and accommodation partners in the project area, coordinated by BSR Group. We do not own or operate the accommodation.
Reliable for the people staying there
Workers who are settled turn up, stay and perform. Practical accommodation that works is a retention tool as much as a logistics one.
What accommodation covers
Sourcing, coordinating and managing the practical side of accommodation for a travelling workforce.
Worker and crew accommodation
Accommodation for trades and site labour arriving in numbers, from shared houses to block bookings with providers.
- Capacity planned against the labour ramp-up
- Shared and single options depending on the brief
- Distance and travel time to site considered
- House rules and expectations set with workers
Contractor and project team accommodation
Longer-term arrangements for engineers, supervisors, commercial staff and client teams based on the project.
- Individual and family options where needed
- Terms matched to assignment length
- Relocation support coordinated
- Changes handled as assignments extend or end
Coordination and management
The practical work of keeping accommodation running: bookings, changes, issues and communication with providers.
- Bookings and check-ins coordinated with start dates
- Provider relationships managed
- Issues resolved without going through your site team
- Occupancy tracked as people arrive and leave
Travel and practical support
Getting from the accommodation to site, and the practical arrangements that make the stay work.
- Transport and parking coordinated where needed
- Local information and arrival briefings
- Coordination with FM and property for facilities
- Demobilisation and check-out planned
Where this fits
Nuclear new build and major energy projects
Thousands of workers travelling into a region with limited housing. Accommodation has to be sourced and coordinated well ahead of the ramp-up, not booked the week before.
A package team arriving together
Twenty people starting in the same fortnight, all from outside the area. Accommodation, check-ins and travel arranged so the whole team is in place for the start date.
Specialists on rotating assignments
Engineers and commissioning staff on and off site for defined periods, needing reliable accommodation each time without a new search.
Questions
- Who is the accommodation for?
- Workers, contractors and project teams travelling into a project area for a defined period, from a single specialist on a short assignment to a crew arriving for a package that runs for months.
- Do you own or operate the accommodation?
- No. We source and coordinate accommodation through landlords, providers and partners near site, and manage the practical side so people have somewhere reliable to stay from the day they arrive.
- How does this connect to the rest of mobilisation?
- Accommodation is planned alongside start dates, onboarding and transport. A worker who is site-ready but has nowhere to stay is still a gap on your programme, so we treat it as part of the same plan.
