The Community Fund is how BSR Group creates shared wealth and meets its social responsibilities. When an invoice is paid, 1% is allocated automatically. Clients help decide where it lands. Local organisations receive the money.
Why the fund exists
Infrastructure and energy work only succeeds when the places around it succeed too. Workforces are local. Suppliers are local. Charities, clubs, training schemes, and social enterprises are the fabric that holds those communities together.
So we made giving back structural. A share of commercial activity goes back into the towns and regions where the work is delivered, as a permanent part of how we operate rather than a one-off donation drive.
How it works
Built into the invoices and client portal we already run.
The work is invoiced
Recruitment, infrastructure, procurement, logistics: projects run as normal. Nothing extra is added to the client bill.
1% is allocated to the fund
When the invoice is paid, 1% of the bottom-line amount is credited to that client's Community Fund balance. It is automatic and recorded in the ledger.
Clients help choose where it goes
Clients vote on curated programmes and redeem credits against local charities, community projects, and social enterprises near where their work is delivered.
Outcomes are recorded
Each redemption is itemised: what was supported, how much, and when. Clients can export the record for ESG and stakeholder reporting.
Who the fund supports
Local organisations doing practical work in the places we deliver.
Community charities
Food banks, mental-health services, hospices, and welfare charities operating in project regions.
Local projects
Skills bursaries, youth and sport programmes, STEM outreach, and place-based improvements near major sites.
Social enterprises
Organisations that trade for a social purpose: training, employment, and community services that recycle surplus back into the place they serve.

For clients
Your Community Fund balance sits in the client portal alongside the rest of the account: live credits from each paid invoice, programmes to vote on, redemption receipts, and an exportable ledger for ESG reporting.
Nothing is added to your invoice. The 1% comes from BSR Group. The work you already do with us is what funds the next local grant.
