Frequently asked questions
Answers on nuclear recruitment, SC clearance hiring, IR35 on nuclear sites, retained search, and how to work with BSR Group from Bristol.
Questions
- How does nuclear recruitment work with SC clearance?
- We confirm the vetting level with the hiring organisation first. Some roles need BPSS, others SC, and a smaller set sit on a DV pathway. Candidates are only progressed when they can meet the named requirement, so you are not interviewing people who cannot start.
- How does IR35 work on nuclear sites?
- Status is set by the engaging party and the role, not by the recruiter. Some site work is employed, some is inside IR35, some is outside. We hire against the model you name, and our advisory team can help you set that model before a campaign starts.
- When should we use retained executive search?
- Use retained search for confidential, senior, or scarce nuclear and infrastructure leadership. Contingency is better when the market is liquid and speed matters more than mapped research.
- Do you recruit legal as well as nuclear?
- Yes. Legal recruitment is a separate sector page covering law firms and in-house teams. We do not mix legal briefs into nuclear programme pages.
- Where is BSR Group based?
- Abbots Leigh, Bristol. Call 0117 990 4894 or visit Leigh Court Business Centre, Pill Road, BS8 3RA, Monday to Friday 9:00–17:30. We work UK-wide from that office.
- How do candidates apply for nuclear jobs?
- Browse live vacancies on our jobs board, upload a CV, or create a candidate profile. We contact you when a brief matches your skills and clearance pathway.
